My Concerns

  • The next 4 years will be critical to the future of this State.

  • People are waking up to the spin and lies that occur all too frequently in politics.

  • Labor has been in Government for 23 out of the last 27 years in Victoria, including the last 12 years. The Government is tired, at times dysfunctional and has lost its way.

  • Victoria’s credit rating is the worst in Australia amongst all the other States. That tells you something about the current mismanagement of taxpayer money in this State.

  • The current Government is responsible for a State debt that is now so high that the interest bill in their Budget for 2026/27 is $8.9 billion. That’s roughly $1 million every hour! This hefty interest bill prevents the Government from using that money to fund essential services and infrastructure. Unless something is done soon, our children and future generations will find it extremely hard to pay for it. The status quo is unsustainable.

  • The public is crying out for change. Two examples of huge government waste. Over $1 billion was wasted by the Labor Government on the cancelled East-West Tunnel in Melbourne some years ago. And over $500 million was wasted by the Labor Government when they cancelled the Commonwealth Games that should have been held this year across Victoria. These are big numbers. This is not managing our money responsibly.

  • Political parties appear to ignore voters once they gain Government – how? – by spending huge amounts of money (it’s our money, it’s not theirs) on too many projects at once and they don’t seem to care about cost blowouts. This has to stop.

  • We cannot sit back and complain, good people need to step up and stop the decay. My hand is up to help fix this situation, for both the Macedon electorate and Victoria. We need change.
