I am positive and optimistic about what can be done to turn around Victoria, making it the great State that it once was. But I need your help to get elected into the Parliament to ensure that positive change can occur.

I am a former government superannuation fund chief executive, with the financial management skills and integrity to help fix what’s gone wrong with Victoria’s finances. It’s a big task, but if we get the right people in Parliament, it can be done and it needs to be done. Financial discipline and integrity must start now, before it’s too late.

I am not aligned to any political party, donor or lobbyist. And never have been, unlike all other candidates for the Macedon District that I am aware of to date (2 November 2026). That makes me a genuine, truly independent alternative to party candidates. And I’m 100% self-funded – I am not accepting donations from anyone - this ensures that I have no conflicts of interest.

Let’s face it, the State is not the picture of health that it used to be. And when I talk of health, that includes:

• health of the State’s finances - we have very high (and increasing) State debt that most people now agree is unsustainable - but are the major parties really going to do something about it soon? They are promising to lower taxes and increase spending - absolutely not the best way to responsibly reduce debt! We need to start reducing it soon, to save future generations from financial hardship.
  As an independent member of Parliament, I’ll urgently address the debt issue with the incoming Government. The Parliament must enforce a debt ceiling, as a % of Gross State Product (GSP) or a $ billion cap, to ensure that financial discipline is priority #1 in the State’s expenditure.

• health of our society - what’s happened? It’s not what it used to be. Crime rates are too high, and harmful incidents have become more severe. Let’s reset the tone of our communities to bring back the pride we once had in our State.

• health of our education system - are our children leaving school with the level of education that they need to enter the workforce? Have they been adequately prepared for adult life? Our society relies heavily on the education system, so this needs a good health check.

• health of our justice system - are our Courts too soft on reoffenders? Are bail laws in line with community expectations?

• health of our roads - yes, potholes says it all. Fixing our roads is a safety issue and must be prioritised.

• health of our health system - as the population ages, the availability of sufficient hospital beds and adequate health services for the whole community must continue to be high priority and adequately funded.

• health of our environment - we must protect the natural environment to ensure that future generations will be able to live in, and enjoy, a cleaner, more resilient and less polluted environment.

After a long and successful career, I am totally committed to the task of helping to turn Victoria around and serving the Macedon District community. I listen, learn and act - that’s why I had a successful career, which I’ll continue as your local Member.
